Known Scam methods

Like any company, there are third parties who try to defraud you in our name. Please be aware of the known scams.

We are aware of the following scams and are listing them here for the sake of transparency:

Phone impersonation: “found BTC/ETH” fee scam.

Fraudsters call or text while pretending to be getquin, claiming they’ve “found” Bitcoin or Ethereum allegedly tied to you and urging quick action. They try to legitimize the story with jargon (“compliance,” “verification,” “unlocking funds”) and then push for a processing fee via transfer. Getquin is not a broker or custodian, does not manage or recover crypto like Bitcoin or Ethereum, and does not ask you to pay a fee to “unlock” assets. If you encounter this type of fraud, do not pay or share information, end the conversation and contact us through our verified channels.

Crypto recovery emails impersonating getquin (sometimes citing partners).

You may receive polished emails claiming that getquin, occasionally “in cooperation” with another brand, is coordinating the recovery of funds “lost in a hack.”

The message typically instructs you to pay a fee.

getquin does not offer crypto-recovery services, does not advise on crypto, and does not request fees, seed phrases, or special apps to “secure” your account.

Verify the sender domain and preview links; when in doubt, navigate to getquin.com or app.getquin.com manually and reach us via the verified channels.

Fake getquin account + “premium fee” via third-party portal.

Scammers sometimes register a getquin account using your email (without access to your inbox), then message you from a different, non-getquin address posing as support.

They instruct you to activate Premium or “verify” your account by paying a fee on an external portal, and later send a fabricated payment confirmation promising a badge and or features that never appear. Premium and any billing, where applicable, are handled only through app.getquin.com or other official getquin channels. Do not pay or follow external payment links; verify the sender’s address and contact us through the verified channels.
