getquin Security & Impersonation Awareness
1) Important clarification
getquin does not have access to your assets. The platform connects to your broker or bank accounts in a read-only manner so you can view and analyse positions. Because access is read-only, getquin can not place orders, move money, initiate withdrawals, or otherwise act on your accounts. Likewise, you cannot trade via getquin, all trading must be done directly with your broker/bank. Any claim that getquin can execute trades, handle your funds, or provide custody is false and should be reported to us immediately via our verified contact channels.
2) Official domains (verify before you log in)
Always start by checking the address bar. Our official website is https://getquin.com and the web platform is https://app.getquin.com. Language-specific content may appear as a path on the main site (for example, https://getquin.com/de). Our official domains are:
https://getquin.com - official website (marketing & help content)
https://app.getquin.com - official web platform (log in here)
https://getquin.com/de - example of a language-specific path
When logging in, navigate yourself to app.getquin.com, ideally by typing it in or using a saved bookmark, rather than following links from ads or messages. Before entering credentials, confirm the secure connection (the padlock icon and a valid certificate for getquin.com or app.getquin.com) and ensure spelling is exact.
Be wary of look-alike or fake domains, unusual endings, or subtle character swaps. Examples of fake domains include:
Imposter pages often rely on urgency and pressure, pop-ups, countdowns, “act now” warnings, or they ask for passwords, PINs, seed phrases, remote access, or “verification” payments. Legitimate pages keep branding, spelling, and navigation consistent. If anything feels off, stop, close the tab, and go to getquin.com or app.getquin.com directly.
Installing the app? Only use the Apple App Store or Google Play. The official listing is “getquin – Portfolio Tracker” by QUIN Technologies GmbH
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1513629447
3) How getquin will contact you
Our primary channels are in-app notifications and email from official getquin sender domains. We do not ask you to move money or crypto, and we do not request remote access via message. If anything feels off, stop and contact us through the verified channels on this page.
Email communication (what to expect and how to verify)
You may receive general newsletters and product updates, as well as support replies when you open a ticket. While the display name can vary, verify the actual sender domain and the destination of any links before you act.
Official getquin e-mail addresses: [email protected] (the xxx part can change)
Official newsletter e-mail: [email protected]
Official support e-mail (via Intercom) example: [email protected] (the xxx part can change)
Rule of thumb: official getquin mailboxes end with @getquin.com (for newsletters and corporate mail) or @getquin.intercom-mail.com (for support replies routed through our helpdesk system).
Hover over links before clicking, they should point to getquin.com or app.getquin.com. Be cautious with attachments; when unsure, do not open them. Instead, access the content from within the app or by manually typing getquin.com or app.getquin.com into your browser.
We never contact you via text messages. We do not send login links, password resets, payment requests, or “verification” instructions by SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, or other social media. Treat any such message as suspicious and report it.
We never call to request payments or credentials. We do not ask for your password, 2FA codes, or that you install remote-control software over the phone. If someone calls claiming to be getquin, hang up and contact us via the verified channels listed on this page.
4) File links & attachments
At times, our emails or in-app messages may include links to documents that provide additional context. Treat these links like our websites: verify the sender and the destination before you open anything. Our file links should resolve under our official domains.
Example: if an email highlights “Terms and Conditions,” the link should lead to a document hosted on our official domains, for instance, a URL beginning with https://getquin.com/... or https://app.getquin.com/... (you can preview the destination by hovering before you click). Do not open files or links until you’ve confirmed the sender’s address (e.g., an official @getquin.com mailbox) and the domain in the link preview. We do not ask you to download “security tools”, browser extensions, or screen-sharing apps. If you weren’t expecting the file or the request seems unusual, access the relevant content by manually navigating to getquin.com or app.getquin.com instead of clicking the link.
5) getquin financial advice
Financial advice at getquin is opt-in and always initiated by you. If you request it, one of our financial advisors will first speak with you personally to understand your situation and questions. Only after that conversation will you receive written guidance via email from an official getquin mailbox (e.g., [email protected]). Our advice is limited to ETFs; we do not advise on crypto or other securities such as bonds, stocks or commodities like gold. We do not manage assets on your behalf, and we do not place trades for you, trading remains with your broker/bank. This keeps a clear line between read-only portfolio visibility in getquin and any execution activities you conduct elsewhere.
6) We don’t ask for your password
We will never ask for your password, full recovery codes, seed phrases, master key, or card numbers. If you receive any such request, stop and treat it as suspicious. Password resets occur only on app.getquin.com and only after you initiate them. Do not follow reset links from ads or unexpected messages, type the address yourself or use a saved bookmark.
7) How to spot imposters
If something feels off, pause and verify through our official channels. Common red flags include:
Unfamiliar domains, payment requests, or demands for urgent action.
Requests for your password, 2FA codes, PIN, or remote access.
8) Extra security you can enable
You should never share your password
It is recommended to change your passwords every three months
Biometric unlock on your device (Face ID / fingerprint) to secure your device and app.
Strong, unique password stored in a reputable password manager.
Up-to-date operating system, browser, and mobile app.
Do not forward e-mails from getquin to others as these e-mails may contain sensitive account information.
Screen lock and disable screenshots on sensitive screens where your device allows.
9) What to do if you already clicked or shared info
Change your password immediately (and any reused password on other services). Strengthen your device security (enable biometrics and a strong screen lock), update your OS and browser, and run a reputable malware scan. Then contact us through the verified channels below so we can help you assess next steps and stop any kind of communication with the fraudster.
