Rewards are shares that you have received through "Refer a friend" campaigns, as a gift or similar.
To use this transaction type, you can proceed as follows:
Go to the desired portfolio
Now select "New transaction
Select "Rewards" for the type of transaction
Now select the security from which you have received rewards
Next, enter the number of shares you received.
In the next step, select the date of the rewards and the purchase price*.
Finally just "Add transaction

Why does Rewards require a purchase price?
Rewards mathematically increase your invested capital, even if it is not your equity. Furthermore, Rewards require a "starting value" to calculate the return on investment. The return is calculated from the time of entry using the value at the time of entry.
Example:
Imagine you are given a classic car as a gift, which has a value of €10,000 at the time of the gift.
Within one year, the value increases to 20,000€, i.e. by 100%.
Your invested capital has nevertheless only increased by €10,000 and since the car was already worth €10,000 when you received it, the increase in value is also only 100%.
