You try to connect your portfolio via Open Banking and error messages appear?

We have summarized the most common error messages and their solutions for you!

  1. "Such bank connection already exists"
    It seems that you have tried to connect to a broker that is already connected. Under "Settings" -> "Bank connections" you can check if a connection already exists. Important: After deleting a connection, it may take up to 1h for the system to completely remove the connection to this broker and allow a new connection.

  2. Your username is the phone number associated with your Trade Republic account. The phone number must contain the country code and have the following format: +491711234567

    Did you enter the country code correctly here and did not use an extra space or a zero?

  3. Wrong e-mail address or password

    When logging in via the interface, an incorrect e-mail address or password was detected. Did you enter all characters correctly and no superfluous space at the beginning or end?

  4. The PIN or phone number entered is incorrect.
    An incorrect phone number or pin was detected when logging in via the interface. Did you enter all characters correctly and no superfluous space at the beginning or end?

  5. The code is wrong
    During 2-factor authentication it was detected that an incorrect code was entered. Did you enter one too many spaces at the beginning or at the end.

  6. Web Form has been aborted by the user on step of CHALLENGE_RESPONSE_REQUIRED

    This information shows that the connection was aborted no 2 factor authentication could be performed. Please try again in 15 minutes

  7. 500: Internal Server Error
    Here the error is not due to you, but technical problems at the broker. Please try again later!

  8. Please renew your authentication. Just log in under ING.de.
    Just log in once under ING.de in the browser (not in the app) and the connection is enabled for you again. This message is a security measure by ING to prevent misuse.

  9. Bank connection update failed due to unexpected error
    Here the error is not due to you, but technical problems at the broker. It is best to try again later!

  10. TAN invalid. (9941)
    Apparently a mistake was made when entering the TAN. Please check if all characters have been entered correctly and if there are no superfluous spaces.
